HOWTO: Anonymous Blogging using the Tunneler

Overview

You can easily get an anonymous Weblog Account by using the Tunneler to subscribe and use such services. Using the Tunneler protects your IP address from being recorded. As many Weblog providers record your IP address, and even record it with your account information. The Tunneler provides an extra layer of anonymity between you and your Weblog Service provider.

Steps

1. Have your Tunneler installed and running.
2. Check IPSpy, make sure you are protected.
3. Remove All Cookies - (Clears possible old cookies with identifying information.)
4. Register for a Weblog Account at your favorite Weblog provider. (Blogger, Memebot)

Important Points

• 'Always' use the Tunneler when accessing these anonymous Weblog Accounts, even just one mistake of going direct without the Tunneler, and your real IP could be exposed and recorded along with your account information, thus compromising your privacy.
• You must CREATE the Weblog Account with Tunneler protection ON, as your IP address may be recorded with the account creation process.
• You must always access the Weblog Account with Tunneler protection ON, as your real IP address may be logged when you login, and it also may be inserted into outgoing email message headers.
