Private Instant Messaging
The Tunneler is compatible with most IM (Instant Messaging) Clients that support HTTP or SOCKS Proxies. The advantage of messaging through the Tunneler, is that your messages travel from your messaging program through the Encrypted Tunneler to our network. Incoming and outgoing messages in a messaging program using the Tunneler, cannot be sniffed on the local network at home, office, internet cafe, nor at the ISP level, nor any other machine or network between your machine and our network.
Remember though, once you send a message, and it leaves our proxy servers, it will travel on the internet unencrypted. So your advantage is defeating local sniffing, and hiding your destination IP to those you are communicating with, as they will see our proxy server as your IP address, not your real IP.
See the Instant Messaging Configuration Page for configuration instructions of many common programs.
